Traveling

Parlez-vous Anglais

I haven't said that yet.

This is the first time traveling to a non-English speaking locale. Many people in Europe speak English though, which made being stuck in Frankfurt for an extra 18 hours bearable. Among the people I talked to was a French woman, fresh out of visiting her aide-worker boyfriend in Africa. She spoke with the sweetest accent and only stumbled on one word of English. I felt quite the cretan with my limited language skills.

A german man I talked to was fresh out of Monty Python's Ministry of Silly Walks. He paced out the queue we were in and calculated the metres per hour, noting it down in a quad-ruled notebook. He spoke with an excellent English accent and dropped quotes in English - though didn't understand some of my banter.

In any case - I am inspired to learn another language - not sure which. Should probably learn to speak more betterer English first maybe.

LaLaLand

Before Monaco, before Frankfurt, was Los Angeles. Been there done that - but 2 nights there was quite bearable this time. Had a massage with C from a Korean massage therapist. C also had acupuncture - while I had my back walked on. That relaxed me before trying an LA Indian restaurant - I am passing on that again - Asian, Mexican, and Italian food have to be my preference there. The morning before my flight to Frankfurt I shopped Santa Monica-style - find books and tshirts I wanted. New Zealand needs a few of the stores they have here. Oh - and pity I am not still in my "i like skulls on tshirt" phase, because in one store the skull was the rule.

Anyway - That will do for now.
